PropertyPal Australia Pty Ltd ABN 13 658 053 582 (PropertyPal, we, us or our) may collect and use personal information about you and other individuals connected with you or your organisation, including directors, officers, shareholders, beneficial owners, controllers, authorised representatives and other associated persons. This may include identity and contact details, identification documents, ownership and control information, screening information and other information relevant to the engagement and our compliance obligations.
In relation to our AML/CTF obligations, we collect this information so that we can manage the risks of money laundering, terrorism financing and other financial crime if we provide a Designated Service to you as defined by the AML/CTF Act 2006 (Cth) and applicable amendments and updates. We will only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for our functions and activities, including fulfilling our AML/CTF compliance obligations. If you do not provide requested information, we may be unable to commence or continue acting for you, or we may need to place restrictions on the scope of services we can provide.
As part of our operations, personal information may be stored or processed outside Australia, including through Microsoft 365 collaboration environments and approved third-party service providers. PropertyPal implements safeguards and privacy controls in accordance with its privacy and data protection requirements.
If you provide us with personal information about another person, you confirm that you are authorised to do so and that you have taken any necessary steps to notify that person, and obtain any required consents, permissions or other rights, so that we may collect, use and disclose that information for the purposes described above.
We handle and disclose personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) and our Privacy Policy.
